Start with Adare and Limerick
Adare puts visitors closest to the host venue, while Limerick city offers a broader range of accommodation, restaurants and onward transport. Availability, minimum stays and event-week prices will differ considerably, so compare flexible options early.
A normal driving-time estimate is not an event-day transport plan. Before choosing a base, confirm how official shuttles, park-and-ride sites or package transport will operate for the dates you attend.
Widen the search carefully
Shannon and surrounding County Clare can suit visitors arriving through Shannon Airport. Killarney and Cork add more holiday choices, but they are better suited to nights before or after the competition than repeated event-day journeys.
If you stay outside the immediate Limerick area, check the first and last available transport times as carefully as the distance. Build in contingency for crowds and temporary traffic arrangements.
Book for flexibility, not assumptions
Prioritise clearly stated cancellation terms, the correct number of guests and realistic check-in times. Avoid accommodation or packages that imply event access unless the seller is authorised and the ticket inclusion is documented.
Adventure Ireland helps compare travel choices but does not take accommodation payment or guarantee availability. Booking, confirmation, amendments and cancellation terms remain with the selected provider.
