Licensed landing tours normally operate in a limited season and only when sea and island conditions permit. Boat trips may be cancelled at short notice, so build flexibility into a wider Ring of Kerry or Valentia Island stay.

Plan it well
Reserve only with an authorised boat operator, confirm the departure point and cancellation terms, and follow the operator’s latest instructions. A landing involves steep, exposed and uneven stone steps with no handrails, and is not suitable for every visitor.
